I've been in retail, management, business owner, but found my passion as a caregiver. I've taken care of Alzheimer's, Parkinson's, stroke patients, congested heart failure patients, etc. My client's become my family and love what I do as a private caregiver. I have been a certified nursing assistant for 34 years. I have a wide area of experience in the medical field, such as hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living and in home care. Not only that, but I enjoy making a difference in my client's life. Furthermore, I am compassionate, caring and dedicated. I have a passion to make a difference in every client's life, that I take care of. I am available in an emergency 24/7 and willing to drive within 30 miles of Merrill, Wisconsin.

I started caregiving about 9 years ago. I had a family member who had referred me to a caregiving job. I immediately fell in love with the work. I enjoy helping people. If I can make someone's life just a little bit better and put a smile on their face, it makes it all worth it.

I'm an easy going person who gets along with all personalities. I truly enjoy being a caregiver especially when it is 1:1 and you get to give the individual your full attention. I became a CNA in 2010 and worked as one until 2016 when I became a Registered Nurse. I am continuing with prn nursing along with caregiving. The thing I enjoy most about providing care to others is the fact that I am able to help families who may be struggling. I value promoting quality of life to those I assist. I pride myself in the care I provide. I know that any 'patient' of mine is going to receive respect, support, assistance, proper hygiene , safety precautions, guidance and education, great communication, attention to details/changes, medication safety, safe transportation and so much more. I am CPR certified. I am reliable, hard working, caring and can be flexible.

I have the ability to turn a difficult patient/situation into a workable and fulfilling experience. I had a wonderful experience while working in a client's home as PCW. This client had a massive stroke, she was paralyzed on her L side. She also exhibited challenging behaviors. My 1st day I sat with her and remained quiet. I told her I was respecting her need for a calm environment and that I wanted her to lead in any conversation. Her family reported to my supervisor that evening that this client was very calm that evening, she ate dinner and went to bed without any challenges. They were extremely pleased with the care I provided. I love being a caregiver. I have come to realize that I thrive best in a 1:1 relationship with clients in their homes. I enjoy providing companionship while assisting with housework, shopping or going to appointments. The best part is in getting to know one another and hearing their stories of their youthful days. I bring compassion and empathy from all of my life experiences to each new encounter. I also will not leave a home if a client is experiencing an emotional or other medical setback. I wouldn't be able to relax if I felt I should've stayed with that person until family or other caregiver could replace me.

I love being a CNA. Have worked as a CNA for 16 yrs. In nursing homes. Adult living facilities. In home care. And privately for family member. In home care is the most awarding for me because I believe everyone should be able to be in there homes as long as possible.

I was raised to respect the elderly and to help those in need. I have worked with people of all ages and I am ready for a challenge. I just had my first child last year and love living in WI

I love to converse with people and am empathetic towards others' needs. I enjoyed working for a year at New Hope Center in Chilton, WI providing recreational activities and personal cares to adults with cognitive and physical disabilities. It was a pleasure forming a bond with these adults and watching their faces when they enjoyed an activity or felt proud of themselves for accomplishing something. A personal achievement that I am most proud of would be the 3 adult sons my husband and I have raised and how much we enjoy family time together.
