As a caregiver, I have had the privilege of working with a wonderful individual who has taught me so much about life and the importance of compassion.

I love what I do to help others that need me. I have a passion to be there in time of need to help others. I am able to help thru daily tasks that needed. I am proud to know I was able to help and be there for all care. Also that I did a good deed. To know that they was satisfied and comfortable.

I am a very careing person at all times . all love and joy I get from my resident's and I came to realize it's people's that really needs good CNA like myself . This is what matters when becoming a caregiver to your patient. Compassion. When someone has compassion for another they have an understanding of what the person is going through. Attentiveness. It is important when providing home care that the caregiver is attentive to the needs and changes that are taking place. By being attentive, the caregiver, will notice when there are emotional or physical changes in the person he or she is caring for. Dependability. Those who need home care don't usually just need it sporadically. Rather it is on a regular basis, so it is imperative that a caregiver be dependable and show up to provide the care that the person needs and is counting on. Trustworthiness. Caregivers are often in a position that will allow them to have access to the belongings of the person they are caring for. It is crucial that the caregiver be someone who is trustworthy and will not breach that trust by taking advantage of the person her or she is caring for. What attracted me to be the caregiver I am today. Well, when I was 13 years old, my Father was diagnosed with cancer. So at that age I would watch the hospice nurses take good care of my father until the day I asked, if I could learn what they knew so when the nurses are not there, I could assist. I love being a caregiver to help other people who really need it. I want to be able to care for them the way I want to be cared for if I should need the care some day. I love helping others in need. My personal achievement is on a day to day bases. CNAs are responsible for the wellbeing of patients from the time they are admitted to the time when they are discharged.

I have been a licensed CNA since 1995. I'm a very dedicated to my patients. I have very much experience dealing with dementia/Alzheimer's patients in the home and LTC. I have always had the heart to make sure my patients are taken care. I have won many awards for my nursing abilities.

i became a caregiver, because I like caring for people of all ages, it brings me joy to know that someone needs and appreciates me. Things I like about being a caregiver is getting know different people and knowing that they can always depend on me to be there when no else can't. I also have certification as a Medical Assistant and Certified nursing assistant. I a 42yr old single mother of 4 children currently in school getting a degree as an RN(Registered Nurse, anticipating graduating on 05/16/2015. I'm also certified and successfully completed the cognitive skills evaluations in accordance with the curriculum of the American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers (CPR and AED) Program.
