I am an honest, trustworthy, punctual, patient, outgoing and a dependable person who has true Christian standards when it comes to how I take care of people. I'm detail oriented and believe in the safety and positive wellbeing of those that I care for. I became a caregiver because after assisting my mom with my father who succumbed to Alzheimer's & cancer and assisted my sister -in- law with my brother who succumbed to cancer, I knew from helping my family that I could help other families in need. I enjoy being their companion and making them smile when they are having a difficult day. I sing to those I take care of sometimes. My personal achievement that I am proud of honestly is that I feel I helped to keep one of my clients alive a whole year longer because based on my observation (I cared for her for 3 years) I suggested that the medication shouldn't be given unless it was necessary vs. 3 or 4 times a day and the family listened and that made us all happy.

My name is Starr, I am a patient and passionate person in wanting to help those in need, Ive been helping those who are much older with food, excersize and just enjoying their life as much as possible. When my grandpa was diagnosed with stage four Prostate cancer it was without a doubt that I was ment to help not only him but others if I could. So I wanted to make a profession out if it . I thoroughly enjoy working with older ones and those whom also enjoy the companionship. I'm proud of me wanting to start something like this at such a young age.

I'm a great caregiver because I care about my job in about the resident that I am taking care of. I love to do my job and I do my job the right way. I was attracted to be a caregiver because I can make a difference in their lives. Even if it's a smile for 2 seconds it makes a difference. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is the fact that I can make that small of a difference and the fact that every day is a different day to them and I love watching them go through a new day. My Personal Achievement would be going to college to further my career and still being able to take care of my residents the way they need to be taken care of and raising my family. My personal traits are my personality traits it would be that I love meeting new people I'm very compassionate for my residence I make sure everything is done the way it needs to be done how it should be done I love talking to my residence and I just enjoy the job I do.
