I live in the city of San Francisco but I also spent a lot of time in my other apartment in the East Bay ( El cerrito City ) due to work and having a family members as well . I am a Licensed vocational Nurse (LVN) and a certified nursing assistant ( CNA) as well . I work with people with different types of disabilities and injures . And I have worked in several hospitals in San Francisco and in the East Bay as well. I am bilingual , I speak English and Spanish and i own my car . I am also the Dad of a teenage daughter, I am quite proud of that. I have experience caring for a close family member with Alzheimer's and Dementia. My skills set include changing incontinence undergarments, assisting the Care Recipient with getting dressed, grooming and body cleaning. Lifting the Care Recipient out of bed without a Hoyer Lift and placing into a wheelchair. Feeding the Care Recipient, assisting the Care Recipient with walking with the aid of a walker and safety belt. Playing assorted games with Care Recipient to keep them engaged. I'm a mother of 5 and grandmother to 13. I've worked as a caregiver for the last 15+ years and counting. I love my clients and working with the elderly. What started out as a job became second nature and probably alot of that has to do with my cultural background. I loved it so much, I paid for my own training and certifications to be an independent caregiver.
