I am very kind and compassionate person. Actually got into this business because of a simple conversation with a potential employer regarding my own family experience's with providing care to ALS patient (mother-in-law) as well as my own father with dimentia/Alzheimer's disease. Spent many years caring for both parents while raising my own family. Have since been employed as a caregiver for many years now.
I consider myself to have been in the care business for a number of years at one time owning my own in home care services and then later graduating with a master's in counseling offering other services of clinical care, and pre need services. Now I'm at a point in my life that I just want to slow down a bit, still helping, but give of my time to families who are in need of help in Care giving.
Care giving is very rewarding, no matter what capacity of care giving, it gives to self worth when you can truly find the time and open your heart to someone in need.

What attracted me to be a great Caregiver is that when my Grandmother was alive she did not have the proper care as she needed.
Also, with my Father with his diabetics seening his glucose drop and go up. This made me want to help those that are not able to care for themselves.
Prior to becoming a caregiver I worked in Business Management for 15 years. I left in 2009 to take care of my grandmother in who needed full time care due to COPD and Parkinson's Disease. While caring for my grandma for 3 years I learned how important it is to make sure the elderly are treated with empathy, patience, love and proper care. So after my grandma went to be with the Lord I new I wanted to make a difference in others who needed assistance in Everyday living due to an Illness or just unable to due things they use to cause getting older which we will all be there someday and need some extra care. So I went to school to better my education and learn more about knowing the proper mechanics and safety to be able to be the best caregiver. I Got My CNA/HHA. I got a job pretty fast after finishing school at a Facility where they put me through a Med Tech Program so I am also able to administer Medication, Take Blood Sugar and Assist with Insulin. I Work with that company for 5yrs but have decided I would like to work as a personal in- home caregiver where I can work one on one and am able to give that client the best care possible and there able to stay in there own homes.
