Hi my name is Tina and I have been a caregiver for over 16 years. I started after taking care of my grandma who had lung cancer. I also took care of my mom and dad before they passed away this year. So I have a compassion and a passion for the elderly and their families! I have experience with dementia patients. Memory care, daily hygiene, cooking and preparing meals. I have experience with dialysis exchanges. Diabetes care, wound care and transferring. I do love to work with the elderly and do it as if I'm working with my own family.

My personality traits consist of being upbeat with a positive outlook on life. I offer companionship and help with everyday chores and health without my client having to compromise their precious time and giving the simplicity of being able to enjoy the companionship that I offer and also of others without the work and tasks of the everyday life hassles getting in the way of you visiting with family and friends. The things that attracted me to being a caregiver were my grandparents who I had the chance to spend a lot of time with as a child and ultimately was blessed to help them through the end stages of life and take the journey along side them. I'm compassionate, caring, dependable and reliable. Not having a grandparent and being able to experience working with elderly people make me feel close to having one. Spending time with my client being able to talk to them listen to their stories and comfort them when they are feeling sad or lonely. Working with a client that has dementia or Alzheimer's and feels threatened by my presence. After introducing myself and talking to them and showing them that I'm no threat or mean any harm ti them they begin to trust me and we get along just well. That makes me feel accomplished and happy.

I am compassionate and attentive to my clients. I do thorough job. The safety of my clients come first. I listen to them and hold conversation with them even when they don't make sense in the case of dementia. I'm observant and prompt on my job. I have worked as a CNA for more than 10 years. I have worked in the hospital, nursing homes and homes although my CNA license expired. I am also registered in the California State Registry for home care giver. I'm also in the data base as a CNA in the state of California but expired license.
