I am patient, respectful and kind. I am a non-smoker, allergic to chemicals and perfumes. "No pet allergies." I believe pets are vital to a persons well-being . I love and acknowledge them as family members. I do meal prep, help with bathing and hygiene and do general house keeping. I accompany my clients to their (local ) Dr. appointments. and report the results to their appointees. I enjoy having a personal connection with my clients. I have always been someone who had a heart for others. As a young man that resignated through acts of service, helping others in my neighborhood, through my church, and random people I met along the way. God instilled a gift of caring for my fellow man and he has always placed my in roles where I can use this gift. It wasn't until I was in my 20s where I realized this gift would be well received in the world of medicine and later nursing. I originally thought a career in EMS was where I belonged but it limited my upward mobility and after going through an EMT Basic class I soon realized their were other options available to me. I moved into the hospital environment through a cardiac telemetry position and began learning about inpatient medicine and the many roles nurses play. During my time there I went through a CNA 1 & 2 class and began to realize that nursing was where I would fit in the world of medicine. However, It was my grandmother who cemented the notion in my mind that I would make an amazing nurse. During her last days I was able to spend some time with her; making her conferrable, meeting her needs, caring for her became second nature and I realized in those last moments with her that nursing was where I belong. As you can see I have come full circle in way; starting with the idea that EMS is where I want to be and ending up with a passion for nursing but at an EMS pace in the Emergency Room. I feel at home when I'm working with patients, I look foreword to every shift, and the challenges it provides; because in these challenges I reaffirm my calling to the nursing profession.

I have been working for Partners In Care in Grass Valley, working both in home health and at the assisted living facility Eskaton since the beginning of this year. I have worked as a babysitter and nanny, caring for children for several years. I am currently in my final year of a Physical Therapist Assistant program and will be beginning my internships this month. I have the skills necessary to transfer, ambulate with, and bathe seniors in a safe manner. I am very compassionate and wiling to do the extra work to assure safety and to provide a comfortable and positive environment for those I am working with. I am CPR certified. I used to have my Wilderness EMT certification and was a ski patroller. I feel that I can handle emergency situations well. I am passionate about doing the best I can to make the lives of those around me a little bit better. Hello! Thank you for taking the time to get to know me a little better! I am 24 years old, I moved into the Grass Valley/Nevada City area when I was just 9 years old. Living with my 60+ year old grandparents, I attended Bear River High School and had plentiful friends. I worked small jobs like McDonalds, Dickies and Tractor Supply and finally stumbled upon the joys of caregiving through a friend who was working as one. I immediately fell in love. The atmosphere reminded me of my home, old school music and the stories, miles long. I enjoy spending my time absorbing the knowledge, humor and wisdom that so many folks have to offer. I lived with my loving grandparents until 2017, when I carved time away from my family to attend Nursing Assistant school in Sacramento.
