About me. I've been a caregiver for 23 years I moved to Alabama in 2009 where I worked for affordable home care for 8 years. I'm very responsible kind and compassionate taking care of elderly and disabled is something I feel I was born to do I've been told my heart was too soft but is there really a such thing..I live what I do. My goal in this line of work is to make everyday better then the last for all of my clients

I have been caregiving since I was 18. I have worked with numerous services from adolescents to geriatrics. From mental disorders to just being a companion. I do light cleaning for patients. I document everything for families and my employer to know what is going on. I love being a caregiver. I get close to my patients. I've even sat with my own family. I'm in school for my RN degree. My life goal on day is to be a doctor and have my own practice.

My oldest child is 30 years old, I also have a 21 year old, and a 13 year old. My children are my greatest achievements and they are where my caregiver "carrier" truly started. They taught me a great deal of patience, they taught me to be reliable and flexible. All are things that I use in my caregiver profession still today. Through them I have learned I love helping people. When I have a client they become a second family to me. For me seeing the smile of a family member I have helped leaves me with a worm fuzzy feeling that cant be explained. I experience joy and satisfaction within the work that I perform. Helping other people is my main goal in life. The joy, relief, and happiness that I see from my patients while caring for them reassures me that I am in the right line of work! I enjoy helping people because it is simply the right thing to do. Growing up as a child, my grandmother helped everyone she could! Becoming a caregiver always been a prioritized career choice of mine because I always was drawn to taking care of others, especially those who don't have the mobility to do for themselves.
