I remember as a child, watching a group of nurses march across the walkway at a hospital. They were so dignified in their white uniforms. After learning about their mission, I knew this was the job for me. So at 53 years old, I went back to school and received my LPN diploma and 1 month later my LPN license.

MY compassion and empathy for people in need of that extra special care because of limited mobility and age make me want to help. My caregiving came from my mom who was a private caregiver who gave her all to her patients and I watched her and decided then I wanted to be a caregiver because of the love and care she had for these people. I love when at the end of my shift my resident say's see you tomorrow. When I became a certified nursing assistant and understood what an important difference I could make in people's lives. I started out as a caregiver 5 yrs. ago and I enjoyed every moment of it. I love one on one care with clients and getting to know them for who they are.
