I am a great caregiver because am highly dependable, am compassionate, patient, a good listener and highly skilled to taking care of older people and children. I took care of my grandmother in Africa Uganda who had diabetes, it was fulling to make a person comfortable in their pain, that made me want to take my career to the next level when i came to USA... What i enjoy most about caregiving is making the elderly comfortable and enabling them live normal lives regardless. My personal achievement is becoming a CNA recently! Never been proud because in addition to my experience, am now a certified Nursing Assistant!

I really enjoy being a caregiver, I currently work with developmental and disability behavioral patients. What I enjoy most about what I do is that I learn a lot from my patients everyday . Even though I'm working to help them achieve their daily living needs, health and activities. They teach me to be a better person, develop patience, knowledge and a sense of purpose. I like helping others, and I have a great compassion to care for the elderly. I love what I do and it shows in the quality of care I provide. I was 17 years old when I help took care of my aunt who was very ill and when she passed away I knew then I want to take care of others. What I love most of all is helping them to complete their day with what task they have, and making sure they are comfortable and secured. I had a client that had hip surgery and needed physical therapy and I helped them by encouraging and motivating them to keep trying when they may have wanted to give up. The person was able to get back to their normal self after much consistency and determination. That's what made me proud because we did it together.

I am a very caring and compassionate person who loves helping others. I am a CNA and I have worked in Hospice, Home Health and personal care service settings. I enjoy developing a relationship with my clients in order to enrich their life as well as mine. I am extremely dependable and conscientious in all areas of my life. I really like the fact that I am able to learn and anticipate my clients needs in order to assist without having to be asked.

I became a caregiver to be able to help someone in need as well as putting a smile on their face at the end of the day. On behalf of myself and my Criminal Justice Association members we did a clothing drive for the Salvation Army we held the drive from April 24-May 1, 2014 we were able to collect lots of clothing for all ages and for females and males along with other household items all for families in need. I am a Criminal Justice major at Strayer University, I belong to the American Criminal Justice Association and I am also the vice president. I am a very outgoing person, I pay very close attention to detail when caring for others. I have been in the nursing field off and on for about twelve years if not longer.

Hi there! My name is Lexis McGee and I believe that care giving is my one true calling in life. I have worked most recently with being a caregiver for children and loved it however I believe that making our older years the best that can be is something I would excel at. I first became a caregiver when I started taking care of my aging parents. It was imperative to me that they were comfortable, healthy, and happy. I was educated in a lot of things but none of those things satisfied me as much as caring for people who couldn't properly care for themselves. I knew from that satisfaction that, being a caregiver and companion was a gift that I possessed.
