I have 20 years of experience in the medical/nursing field. I've worked in nursing homes, hospitals, and agencies and have found that in home care is the field best suited for me. I tend to be drawn toward Alzheimer/dementia patients as I'm learning my approach in care, they tend to respond to me best. I have worked with several families and helped to restore certain independence to patients with walking, dressing, feeding themselves. I ran a restorative therapy program for over two years in a nursing facility before deciding to take a home care position with an agency.

I have a long history of taking care of adults and children as my husband and I come from large families. I have a mom-in-law that has early onset dementia that I worked with for 6 months before she needed to be in a memory care unit and our family was always amazed at how she responded better to me than others. Same with my uncle who is now in a memory care unit. I am able to get into their world and create a purposeful feeling for them. My friend Bud, who is 80, lives alone with his service Newfoundland and I still visit with him for companionship once a week. We enjoy good conversations, drinking coffee and sharing stories of his wife who has passed on. I love older folks and have always had a heart for them, ever since I was young. My experience started in my teens when my mom because the chaplain at Westminster Village North. She has taught me invaluable lessons of making patients feel loved by showing them kindness, compassion and respect. I am CPR and first-aid certified, assistant I completely understand the peace of mind that it gives to someone looking for a caregiver for themselves or a loved one. Hi my name is Anastasia I have been in the medical field for many years. I started my training at a vocational school called Beattie Tech located in McCandless P.A. during my junior 09-10 and senior year 10-11 of high school at Shaler Area High School in pittsburgh pennsylvania. I acquired my CNA at 18years old after I graduated both Beattie Tech and Shaler high school in 2011. I've had experience in many areas as a CNA. I have experience in skilled care including rehabilitation, dementia and Alzheimer's, long term care, short term care and then private care as well I've worked as a supervisor overseeing my other coworkers and training them in private care facilities while distributing med and making sure paper work was caught up to date and that there was an open channel of communication with other care givers to ensure my patients were getting everything they need. I have made it half way through my associates degree in nursing in pennsylvania before moving out here to pendleton indiana in July of 2018. I am currently enrolled in ivytech at the anderson campus to continue my studies. I also am a licensed driver with a vehicle. I LOVE helping and healing I believe I've been given a gift that should not be wasted over the 7 years that I've had experience giving care to the people that need it nothing in the world makes me happier than helping the person I'm working with.
