Hello, I'm a state certified nursing assistant for well over 20 years. Also have certificate in Alzheimer's and Dementia. I've also have had the pleasure of caring for my mother, who was ill. I totally can relate, and understand when people are looking for caring, trustworthy, and dependable caretakers. It's very important to know you have the right individual caring for your loved one. I became interested in care giving because my Mom was in an automobile accident which left her paralyzed & my sister-in-law was in an automobile accident which left her with a brain injury. I was my mom's caregiver from age 17 until I was married at age 22. While living in Greenwood, IN, I worked for Companion Care as a cargiver. My Mom moved in with us in 2010, I took care of her until she passed in 2016. I enjoy helping people to be able to live at home without having to live in a nursing home. I prefer not to bath & dress, I helped my mom with bathing & dressing, however it was something I did because it needed to be done, I was never comfortable with this part of her care. If I get to know the person and they need help every once in awhile, I will do anything to help them. I was with 2 of my clients in Greenwood, IN until they passed away, I prefer the one on one attention I can give when working with an individual in their home.

I am a very caring caregiver. I strongly believe that making a person smile is just as important as their physical health! Building bonds that matter and being entrusted with someone's care, is one of the greatest honors you can have. I was attracted to being a caregiver because I like to help, I like to make people smile. Also, being able to have more one on one time with a person vs in a LTC facility is a huge, added bonus!! **** I have my CNA certification, my CPR certification and I am fully vaccinated****

Becoming an CNA became important in my life as my grandmother was in need of some assistance and I was unaware of all the things that was needed so I went to learn received my certificate and feel in love with taking care of the elderly I have been working in this field for 20 years and I LOVE IT!!!!!

I've been a caregiver for 6 years now! My experience range from assisting individuals with ALS, Dementia, Alzheimer's, as will as Hospice. Other work I've done is with individuals whom have physical challenges (needs wheel chair or hoyer lifts etc). What I love most about caregiving is the time spent caring for the individual. I particularly love learning, asking questions and helping people. I get to do all three as a caregiver! As such, I am proud of my eagerness and determination for growth and betterment not only for others but myself as well. To be of great service!

I became a caregiver in 2006 my first client was my grandmother when she needed full time care. That's when I knew that caring for people in need was my calling. I love making lasting relationships with my clients making them feel independent and also giving them a peace of mind. A personal achievement of mine is very simple I love when my clients feel loved by me and look forward to seeing me that drives them to want to accomplish daily activities for themselves. I am a very dependable and simple woman I love giving back to others and helping people comes natural to me. I love cooking, being a companion, organizing, uplifting and inspiring people and much more.

I became a caregiver because it fufills my heart, mind , and soul. I get great satisfaction knowing that I can help keep a person safely and comfortably in their home. Meeting new people and their families has given me a lot of knowledge to use for the next job I am fortunate to receive. My years of experience have taught me to have patience and compassion for each person because everybody is different in their own way. I have raised an incredible teenager who is thriving in life. One of the things I am most proud of is that I took care of my mother who was dying of lung cancer. I was the best advocate for her that I could be. I kept her safe and comfortable to live out the last days of her life. I have done a little of everything in the medical field. I have worked in the ER, assisted living, home health and hospice and live in private duty. When I am not working I enjoy reading, camping, and spending time with my family.

I believe growing up with my grandma gave me hope to help the elderly. Being able to say I helped with people grandparents and mothers or fathers. Absolutely everything from taking care of the elderly to companionship. Becoming a better person then yesterday.
