The love for helping people has always been in me. After school during my junior high/ early high school years, I would go to sit with my mom at her job(nursing home). Doing that made me even more determined to go into the healthcare field. My bright smile and caring attitude is what make so many people love me. I love to just listen to the individuals talk about their long life memories and how life were so many years back. That is what push me more to be a greater person to other. Being able to help others and knowing I made a difference in their life within a few hours, minutes, days or even months. Is what make my day and keep me going. Helping people and being nice is not hard and I'm thankful I was able to help so many.

I have been a caregivers for 28 years. Mentally or physically its not much i haven't done when it come to this field but I cant do heavy lifting. I love caring for them so I would not want to leave them, the need care and I am able to give it so I intend to live out my life doing so.

The compassion and fulfillment they receive from this career is what inspired me to become a CNA. I love being a help to others and providing care for people who cannot provide care for themselves. There was a facility that she was working in that caregivers work. There was a family lacking a sitter for one lady and they were looking for someone last minute to fill in a shift. My mom called and asked if I could do it and I did not see why not. Even though the overnight shift was a nightmare and even hurt me physically, I decided if I could do go through that then I could go through anyting. :-) What i enjoy most is the learning. For many clients I feel like I should have been the one paying them for what I learn from them. Of course it's not always this way. I would pray so however. I do enjoy learning people and new situations. Every client and their loved ones are different and i don't mind making long term friends.
