I cared for my mother for 2 1/2 years who was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer and it was medistatic so it jumped from her breast, to her bones, then her liver, and finally it took over her brain. I cared for her from the day she was diagnosed. I cooked, cleaned, tended to her pets, monitored her medication, and transported to and from doctors appointments. That is my personal achievement.....I stepped up and it felt good to know that I took on that responsibility and accomplished it. Unfortunately she lost her battle with cancer and passed away in February of 2012.
