Hi my name is Pricilla! I am able to help with all ADLS including dressing, bathing, medication passes. As well as rides to and from doctors appointments. I love being a caregiver. I have been a caregiver for 2 years, while the last 6 years I have been a stay at home mom of 4 kids. I love working with the elderly and I would want the same care that I give to be given to my family members.

Surprisingly enough, in caring for my mom and pastor's mom the last 18 months of their lives, I found I'm very patient with the elderly. Both women had dementia as well. Doing crafts or something creatively "fun" was enjoyable. There is SOO much need for the elderly! My heart goes out to them, especially those who don't have family or their family lives far away. I'm an extrovert who loves to laugh. It's important to find the humor in life. It's also important to help the person retain their dignity, especially if incontinent, which can be humiliating to the patient. After caring for both women, they both died within 3 months of each other. I had quit my job to care for my mom full time and home health was an easy segue back into working full time. I enjoy getting to know new people and hearing their "story" as everyone has a story. I play the piano and saxophone, and my patients always lived hearing one or the other. I'm pretty laid back and easy going.

I've been assisting seniors for as long as I can remember, I began as a volunteer when I was 12 years old, I've held various positions in the Healthcare industry, Activity Director, Social Work, Administrator, but I always find myself pulled back to the hands on care, to me there isn't a more rewarding career.

I keep my CNA license up to date. I enjoy working with the elderly. I am very hard working and love to make people smile. I want my clients to feel they are independent as much as they can. I can listen to stories over and over.

My caring heart for the elderly is why I became a caregiver. I love my job and caring for others. I'm very patience, caring, dependable. I'm empathetic and compassionate, respectful, and understanding. My 10 plus years working with the elderly makes me a great fit. I have always since a little girl knew I wanted to work with the elderly, because of my relationship with my grandmother and also just helping the older people in my neighborhood if it was checking their mail, water the plants, taking the trash out and must importantly just a listing ear. I have FIRST AIDE & CPR certification and I'm currently a med passer at my job.
