I started my career of caregiving In 1983 where I provided in home care for an elderly lady for 18 months. In 1984 I worked for Minnesota DHS with developmentally disabled persons. In 1989 I began working for the Minnesota DOC until I retired in 2020. I love to help people achieve their goals and I really enjoy seeing people happy. I am currently teaching myself some wood working, furniture refinishing and some art.

I have been in the healthcare field for 25 years. I enjoy working with all types of disabilities and ages. I am hardworking and like to go above beyond to help clients in my care.

Hi, I have a lot of experience with being a caregiver for the elderly. I have worked with hospice clients and also dementia clients. I have even worked with just assisted living clients helping with basic cares. I am very passionate about being a care taker. I am pursuing a degree in nursing. I have always loved knowing that someone's loved one is being taken care of. To me it's nice to be able to provide that break for the family so they can be family and not the caregiver. I love being able to communicate with family and the client. Also, I love the bond that it all comes with. You truly make a one on one bond with the client and it's nice to get to know not only the client but family as well. I foresee myself being in healthcare for a long time as it's my passion. I would enjoy being the person you pick to take care of your loved one. I'm more than willing to answer any questions that anyone has

I've always had a soft spot for children and the elderly. I was nine when my brother was born with Cerebral Palsy and as a result became one of his primary caretakers in every aspect. At the same time my grandparents were aging and they needed care as well. I learned a great deal watching my parents tend to their daily needs and the joy and comfort expressed between them was priceless. So when my Dad was diagnosed with cancer and my Mom with Alzheimer's it was natural for me to move home and take care of both of them until they passed. I've also been a nanny and enjoyed that immensely. Over a year ago I received my CNA certification and proceeded to work at a memory care facility in the area, however I realized I was much better at one on one with people so I could really concentrate on their specific needs. After leaving there I have continued to nanny. I feel blessed to have had the opportunity to know and care for so many people that have crossed my path so far in this life and desire to help other families as well.
