I graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1986. Prior to school nursing I worked in both Newborn and Pediatric Intensive Care. In 1994 I became one of four School Nurse Consultants in Douglas County School District until the birth of my third child. After spending several years at home full time, and adding one more child to our family, I returned to DCSD as a School Nurse in 2008 when our youngest entered first grade.
