I am a great with the elderly and have fun working with them. Knowing that I can help them on a daily basis with anything brings joy to my heart. I used to take care of my grandmother before she passed away. She is the reason I decided to go into the caregiver profession.

What makes me a great caregiver is my passion in being able to be a part of the elderly staying in their homes if thats what they want, instead of a nursing facility. Sometimes that isn't always easy for the families to accomdate that request and that's where i come in, to help make that possible. I love being outside as well, in some instances i have been able to do certain activities with some of my clients ive had, that they may wouldn't have been able to do otherwise. Ive worked with clients having different situations from just needing compaionship and doing activities, to more of needing personal care, all the way to hospice care. I can do anything and everything. I like to stay busy all the time, really active person with a lots of anergy. I like to make people happy, and enjoy every day of their life even if its hard. I've been working many many years as a caregiver small and big facilities, so they becoming part of my family, only then you having a good time been caregiver and friend. I enjoy to do their hair nails showering changing close so they can look good and happy, love to cook, organise and have fresh flowers in the house. I believe that I am a great caregiver because I don't think im just there to help bathe the clients or clean their home, I'm also there to be there companion and treat them as if their also my family. Nobody wants a random stranger in their home that's just there to clean up after them and make them feel uncomfortable. I chose to be a caregiver because some people aren't as compassionate as others when it comes to helping with things such as cleaning up after someone else or helping with toiletling/bathing in the situations some people would feel uncomfortable in.

Hi. My name is Marlo I have worked in healthcare for 25 years. Most of my experience has been in assisted living facilities where I earned my level 1 medication insulin certification. I have taken care of many elderly people and loved every min. of it. I feel honored to have spent the last years of their lives with so many. I have also been an elementary school teacher for 25 years. This has given me lots of patience and experience working with all people.

I grew up with a grandma who had strokes. She eventually became paralyzed from a stroke. I would watch my family do everything for her. When I turned 14 I began volunteering to do something she needed and I would stay the weekends and be the only one there to care for her. It brought us closer together. The best thing about being a caregiver would have to be the elderly you meet and the bond you create with them. My biggest achievement so far in life would be getting married. I am easy to get along with but I take my job very serious. I began in nursing when I was 22. My mom worked in nursing for 28yrs. and now I understand why my mom was happy and sad at the same time. Taking care of another human being is the most exciting and heartbreaking job.
