I'm a self motivated focused individual that has a huge heart. I am hyper aware of my surroundings at all times and the ability to recall even the smallest details in any situation. The thing I enjoy most about being a caregiver is being able to help those in need and seeing the stress be removed from the loved ones so that they can enjoy being with their loved one instead of having to worry about juggling everything. As well as providing a since of independence and and strength to the client. A personal achievement that I'm proud of is getting my mom to walk again after being bed ridden for 4 years due to neuropathy. I started by building her confidence and and replacing her negative mindset and fears with positivity and hope. She was so happy when she finally walked on her own again. Now she is up and moving like never before. And the happiest I've ever seen her.

I have been in some form of the medical field for 16 years. I am able to chart medications, updates on the patient's well-being, medications taken, and progress. I am BLS/CPR certified and have been an Emergency Medical Responder for 12 years. I enjoy caring for patients and just feel this is my calling as it's the only thing besides being a mother that just felt "natural" to me.

I became a caregiver b/c I love working with elderly people, I like what I do b/c it's rewarding &to know u make someone's day by doing simple things for them that we take for granted that we still can do.
