My name is Linda. I have 2 grown children, a cat and a dog. My background is 20 + years of working in Social Work to help people succeed and live their best lives. I have been a caregiver for the past 10 years until the couple recently passed. Basically, I Love people!!! I am an optimist and keep a positive attitude. I love to help people. I have many achievements on a professional level but feel my biggest achievement is raising 2 well adjusted children with huge hearts. They are kind and would help anybody. I love animals and plants. I'm dependable (never missed a day of work, including 24/7 shifts). I am in excellent health (never smokes, drank or had taken drugs), have a strong back, able to assist with lifting, current on all vaccines and TB test, drug tested, CPR/First Aide certified, no criminal record, clean DMV record and fully insured. I've always been one to care for others. My empathetic nature makes its a natural experience. I am a detail oriented person, which I find to be necessary in this field. I've been a caregiver off and on a total of 15 years... I started out taking care of my great grandmother with dementia back when I was in high school. I love helping others and that is what inspired me to want to be a caregiver... I have also worked in different assisted living facilities and group homes and also worked for a couple of years administering medications..

I became a senior caregiver almost two years ago, prior to that I worked in disability for five years. Many of my friends say that I have a lot of compassion and would have made a great mother. My strengths are the ability to listen, be quiet, enter the persons world I am responsible for. I feel strong about acknowledging people's dignity especially as we age and become dependent. Over the past two years I have worked with approximately two dozen different seniors, all with different needs,and circumstances. What do I like about being a caregiver? Knowing that I am truly adding value to someone's life is one of the most rewarding experiences I can have and I feel very blessed and grateful for each of them. A personal achievement that I am very proud of is that I founded and community magazine while living in Australia that gives a good wholesome reflection of the lives and communities in a rural area. I sold the magazine to an Australian before I returned to the states and the magazine is still going strong! I am a Christian but acknowledge all religions. I am a very open hearted person, and would love to meet with any family who thinks I might be the right person to assist their loved one.

I was a CNA for over 25 years, I have worked with DD/IDD population, Alzheimer,Dementia clients. I worked in hospitals on Cardiac, Oncology, ER and Geriatric units. Care giving has been my life's work.I raised 6 children and now get to enjoy grandchildren. I am a team player and client advocate. I enjoy being able to help individuals be able to stay in their home and building great relationships with them and their family. I had 5 bypasses in 2020 and I have worked for myself for the last 5 years so I no longer have a CNA license. If I'm chosen for this position I promise you won't be disappointed.
