I enjoy being a caregiver because i love helping people especially elderly people. I am a very outgoing person and i feel as if i should make my time with them a good time. I enjoy most when i know i am making their lives better.

I started care taking back in 2009 when my grandmother became bed bound. I had assisted with her daily living routines such as bathing, cooking,dressing, administer medication and feeding. Occasionally i would have to clean and dress any wounds or lesions. After taking care or my grandmother for 2 years I then got more involved with care taking by caring for a disable veteran for a year whom was paralyzed. I had performed the same duties as well. My passion for helping those who cannot do for themselves started with my grandmother and it is something that comes naturally to me.

I have 22 years RN experience in medical and surgical nursing in the hospital setting as well as 8 years in home health and hospice. My assessment of subtle changes in a client's condition and comfort in providing care in homes is a bonus to my basic caregiving skills of safely bathing, transfering, and interacting with clients of all ages and debility. You wonder why I am not looking for a RN job? I no longer want to deal with the endless paperwork and little actual client contact involved with nursing today.
