I'm a single mommy of 5 children, Ages 23,19,18 ,10& 9 months I have had private family experience for at least 13 years , i have also worked in facilities 3 years ,as well as Home care 14 + years i prefer home care because i can focus on that one specific patient one at a time . Hello. My name is Melissa. I used to work in assisted living facilities back in the early 2000s. I have experience with the elderly along with alzheimer disease. My grandmother moved in with my family. I took care of her for about 7 years until she passed away 3 years ago. In the time I have taken care of someone in the last years of their life, I feel like I have helped them whether it is just sitting and listening to them talk about old times or helping with daily needs. I am proud of my 4 children. Through having to stay at our restaurant 6 days of the week, going to school and doing their homework, and going through the transition of life with their great-grandmother. They are tough and I am so proud of them.
