I love people and think we should all be treated with respect and kindness. I started caregiving due to the fact of both of my son's great-grandparents were diagnosed with dementia. I did not want them to be placed in a home or separated. Then after both of them passed away, I sadly went back to my wrecker service. Worked only two weeks and decided this is not what God wants me to do. So I went to work for Kelly's assisted living as an on-call coordinator and doing PCA work during the day. Then Mr Hartman came into my life he suffered from MS completely quadriplegic I was told I would be lucky if he lived 5 years. He became a father to me I kept him alive with the grace of God for over 20 years. He was a very large man that was bed bound but everybody was amazed that he only had one bed sore the entire time I took care of him. I do not have a problem with any pets and helping take care of them. I also will help your loved one with grocery shopping all ADLs and housekeeping.I love to make people smile. I have a quirky sense of humor. I also worked in a facility under memory Care. I just hope as I age someone will care for me as I have cared for the people in my life. Hello Clients Home health care has been one of my expertise for 5+ years. What attracted me to being a caregiver was seeing how hard it is for someone to not be able to help themselves. I've been a CNA & ERtech for 20+ years from hospitals, home-care,hospice to schools,no job is too small or large if there's a need I can fill or fit into. My mother was an RN that owned a large senior day care that I grew up in, in her twilight years I became her caregiver so I've been on both sides of the 'caregiver' role, I know how hard it is to find a good match and how important dependability, honesty and a compassionate heart is. I've remained in this role all these years because I genuinely love history and people to me are the ultimate living walking history especially seniors. I've won many awards but I'm most proud when I'm able to bring comfort or a smile to someone. I love what I do let me start off by saying that and I believe when a person live their job it's for them to not be an problem when it comes to doing their job. I love taking care of people I think I get that from my nana (grandmother) she always had me with her as she was doing her work and I think I took it interesting bad an child I enjoy the look on clients face when you have given them good news about their loved one it could be something so small but it's really huge because of the fact that they have been trying to get them to do it and maybe they would not but now that they are that's an accomplishment my personality also has alot to do with the type of work I do for example me being sooooooooo caring and I know it may sound a lil not good but I do tend to worry if people are not ok or feeling well and I try to do whatever I can in order to change that. I am proud of me taking the time and getting on the path to what I wanted to do in the long run so early by going to job corps for C.N.A I could not have did anything greater because I knew this was exactly what I wanted to do because I love to take care of people.

I first began being a caregiver right after I graduated high school. I was unable to start college & needed a job to provide. My first caregiving position was at an assisted living facility. I had an amazing woman who trained me & that I worked with very often. She was an older woman and would always make sure I knew the correct way of taking care of each and every resident. I have always wanted to help others, take care of them, and do whatever I can to make sure they are well!
