I am a very hardworking caregiver. I have been doing this kind of work for close to 23 years and am very passionate what I do. I'm a good listener and try to give each person their own independence and help when needed or asked. I have a sense of humor and love to make my people happy and laugh. I have experience in a variety of areas when it comes to the home health care field. I became a caregiver because I believe in giving back and helping those who may not be able to help themselves or who needs a little more help than someone else. I love being able to be there for others. A personal achievement I am proud of is moving to North Carolina from Pennsylvania away from my family and doing it all on my own. Hello my name is Kelly. I love working with Seniors. I went to Peace College in Raleigh, NC. I double majored in Business Administration and Leadership Studies. I worked at nursing home in Raleigh while in school through my leadership studies program. I was in charge of the activities program. I also did one on one interactions with Seniors, depending on the need. I really enjoyed getting to know them , listening to their stories as they are wise individuals. When I graduated college I worked in established family business since 1945. I did interior design and helped clients purchasing furniture. I preferred working with my senior clients as they were gracious and I enjoyed conversations with them. What I enjoy most is their gratitude and making them smile. Some seniors can be a little stubborn, it takes a while to develop their trust and helping them make decisions. Having patience and not giving up and seeing them come around is very rewarding. I have always been an old soul as I love old music. I love history. Especially 50's music.

I'm an outgoing person that has the common sense to respect others. I believe on treating others the way you want to be treated. In some instances that hasn't always been reciprocated, but my professionalism, de-escalationabilities and problem solving skills have allowed me to always provide courteous professional service to others. Being a Caregiver is pretty much second nature to me. I have acted as a Caregiver since I was nine years old Assisting elderly grand parents. In high school I studied Allied Health Science and later became a Nursing Assistant. I loved it. Every day was a new challenge and completing each challenge was its own reward. Although I would have to say that. I thought it was awesome that a gentleman stopped me in the grocery store to tell me thank you for saving his life. He said continuing to do CPR until help arrived although everyone else walked away saved his life. All I could do was think about how bad felt knowing that guy died

I think patience and compassion are essential. This is a job that requires a lot of tolerance for challenging situations, and good communication and a positive attitude also go a long way. Additionally, you need endurance and physical ability to support patients with certain tasks. I love to go above & beyond to make others happy & 100% comfortable.

I am currently in school to be an Registered Nurse I graduate December 2023. I love making my patients feel loved and my duty is to improve the quality of their health. I am willing to learn and my priority is to provide effective care.
