Hi, I'm Taja I go by TJ. I was a medical assistant And a CNA, I worked with dementia and Alzheimer's patients. I wanted more so I now work with adult with intellectual disabilities as a direct support professional and Supportive living assistant. I am very genuine, goofy, Fun, caring, loving, punctual, adventurous, hard working, and I always go the extra mile. I wanted to be in the medical field ever since I was 6 years old watching my grandmother go through malpractice, neglect, physical abuse and starvation by her Nurses Aide. My Grandfather felt hopeless and killed himself, and my grandmother was still going through it. I kneeled down at age 8 and said " don't worry mama I'm going to become a registered nurse and take care of you myself, we will have a big house and a nice car I promise". She just responded with a "mhmm". She ended up passing away a bit later. After that I kept my same promise for other people because I refuse to let anyone go through what I seen. I treat everyone like family.

My personality trait that makes me a great caregiver is that I am a compassionate person with kind heart. What attracted me the most about being a caregiver is helping other, in their time of need. What I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is given joy to the elderly and give a little back of what they have given us. The personal achievement that I'm proud of is being able to put my self in college and becoming a medical assistant and help other like I would like to be helped some day.
