Years ago when I first entered the work force I was lucky enough to get a position as wait staff in a Memory Care facility. It was then that I first discovered my passion of caring for the elderly, specifically those with memory and physical impairments as a result of Alzheimer's disease or other forms of dementia. I have spent most of my working years in this line of healthcare, serving individuals either in their personal home or in a nursing home setting. I have gained so much experience and education in memory care and pride myself on my ability to give my all to each patient. I have enjoyed taking care of others immensely and have found that it's what makes me the happiest. A person's later years can be confusing, scary, emotional and overwhelming but I have learned the tools to make each day meaningful and the very best it can be. I am often amazed at how lucky I feel to be caring for such amazing people, as every one I have ever cared for has had a wonderful life story. I am serving a person and enriching their life, not simply working a job and collecting a paycheck. I am currently attending classes at Cayuga Community College in pursuit of an RN degree and therefore am only available for part-time hours. I look forward to meeting a family who's needs match what I can offer and getting to work serving you and your loved one!

Assists residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, transferring and getting to and from activities and meals according to the individual service plan. Allows and encourages residents to do as much of their own care as possible.

I have worked in Health Care for for 28 years ,, its all I know , and I can not think of doing anything else ; I love my Job at a Nursing Home in Baldwinsville NY ,,I am looking to "branch out " into something new !! something that is the future in Health Care, and the Carelinx company looks like that to me .

I started out my journey in the healthcare field because of my sick mother. I was amazed at how at ease she was having people come into her home and help her with things so that she could remain at home. I decided then that I wanted to help people be able to stay in their home and live a normal life.

I have been a certified HHA for 5 years, Also Certified Medical Assistant. Currently working as private duty HHA and have so since March 2017. I am empathic, kind, loving caregiver. What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is listening to their stories, putting a smile on their face, lending an ear a hand or mostly a hug. My personal acheivement was passing a the Certified Medical Assistant exam after being in class full of 20 yr olds! LOL

I am a 50yr young lady...lol. With a great sense of humor. I have over 20+yrs experience in the health care field and I have enjoyed just about every minute of it. Between my husband and myself we have 5 great kids and 15 wonderful grandchildren. I enjoy spending my time loving and taking care of other's. It gives me great pride and comfort to know that when I go to sleep that I have given love, care, compassion, and joy to everyone around me. Weather it family, friends or a complete stranger. I take pride in the things I do and the people care for, and at the end of the day if I made someone else day brighter, easier, or put a smile on someone's face then I feel proud and completely satisfied. Also my rate is negotiable!!!

I am very patient and can be very welcoming with being a companion. I am very hard working and love to help the elderly and be a friend when needed. I am a caregiver because I took care of family members who were passing away and it gave me reward to know I am making the short time they have a good one. I enjoy seeing a smile and knowing I am making their life better by just small things.

I am currently a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA). I have my Bachelors degree in Community and Human Services from Empire State College. I have 4 years experience with seniors with dementia and Alzheimer's disease. I was also the sole live in caregiver for 2 years to my mother whom has a stroke and needed help from toileting, bathing, relearning to talk, read, and walking. I have experience working with fostered youth as well as disabled children with an array of symptoms. I enjoy this work to the fullest and plan on furthering my education in Febuary by pursuing a career as an LPN.

I love pets, kids & seniors! I cared for my parents for 12 during their illnesses and loved them dearly! My great achievement wS starting my own concierge business and holding in service talks on seniors keeping their pets. It was successful & I offered discount secs so pets & seniors could remain together. Pets lower blood pressure and cholesterol and serve as great companions. From here cared for seniors, some with Dimentia, especially Dot for 7 years, from early Dimentia in her condo all the way to her passing in the nursing home. I couldn't help but continue in this career!
