Hi, my name is Marissa I am a home health caregiver in Ulster County. I have quite a bit of experience which will show in my work. I have been in the nursing field for over 10 years and have been a home health aid for 6 years. I love what I do and I am confident that I will be able to meet my patients needs while demonstrating and implementing important safety measures, proper health techniques, and protocols while providing compassion and support to my patients and their families. To me caregiving is more then just a job, its a passion, and a strong want/need to help others. I take my work very seriously and put the time and effort into each of my patients based on their individual needs. As for what attracted me to be a care giver is I see so many articles and shows on tv showing all of these residents being abused and it broke my heart and I wanted to make a difference so I decided to go to a technical high school were I got my CNA as well as all of my other certifications. What I enjoy most about being a care giver is the smiles I get when I do even the littlest thing s for my residents I am not saying it is always easy or picture perfect but I think of my residents as family members and treat them exactly how I would treat my own family member because you always have to think they did not ask to be in there situation and that is what I always refer back to. One of my personal achievements that I am proud of is I went to a technical high school and got all of my certifications there and now am currently attending a university to further my education while working per diem. As well as currently looking for a full time job so I can continue helping people while also saving money for college.

I have been in the field of caring for intellectual disabled and elderly all my life, i now work as a manager in a group home and as it is highly rewarding ,I feel i can give more of my attention to one person and have alot of knowledge and love to give . And I also feel i can give families the comfort that there loved one ins in great hands,i myself am dealing with a parent with dementia and a stroke
