I became interested in the healthcare field while serving as a missionary in Guatemala where I worked with poor people living in the mountains, garbage dumps, and street children hooked on glue. Many times after serving I would come home crying because of the plight of the people I served but I love reaching out to help others and served for four years. Here in New York City at one time I also worked with homeless people living in shelters and in the parks. I have worked in nursing homes in Florida and in homecare in New York City. I love being a caregiver, impacting humanity in a positive way as I help to improve and maintain health. Each and every individual that I serve is important to me and I treat him/her with respect, and dignity. I am a hard worker, patient, kind hearted, honest, and reliable. I attended college and the knowledge and skills I received in school have equipped me with the means to better care for clients. I have cared for clients on ventilator, G-tube feeding, trache, and foley catheter. I have assisted with meal preparation, laundry, and housekeep. I do not drive, I don't drink or use drugs. When I see my patients happy especially after I'm done with the ADL and we sit down talking I enjoyed that, I also watch there favorite shows we comment about it and we laugh together. Ect

I became a caregiver to provide warmth and comfort the the elderly and disabled. I like making the client feel secure and know that they can trust me. I give 110% to everything I do. When they see a familiar face everyday it makes them feel good and their willingness becomes better as the days go by. Their faces light up and they talk to you about anything that's on their mind. Even if they say the same things over and over again, it gives them great pleasure that you are willing to listen. Seeing the happiness on their face is the best achievement that I could ever give. Knowing that they are happy and content. I have been doing this so long, it doesn't feel like a job more like accomplishment. Helping people who can't help themselves. Lite housekeeping, medication reminder, food preparation, bed bath, baths, errands, medical visits, arts and crafts, accompanying them outside, laundry, inventory and anything else they will need. My serves is available Monday thru Friday. Full days
