I am a loving and caring person that takes helping others in their homes seriously. I believe people belong in their homes with their families especially eight now with the way COVID is.

I have been in the health field for over 13+ years, I've worked at a nursing home throughout college. Went to LPN school (still have to sit boards) My most recent employer was a 74 year young lady with Parkinson's. I worked with her for 10 years. I was what she called her "Girl Friday" I did everything from medication reminders and dispensing, to hiring aides, payroll, care for her cats, ran errands, shopped for her, brought her to all appointments, Cooked for her, house cleaning, bathing, dressing, toileting and companionship ( we were incredibly close) I am a very dependable and reliable caregiver. I am kind, caring and considerate. I love taking care of the elderly. I can truly say I am good at what I do, and take enormous pride in my care.

I love my job, I love caring for people and I enjoy there stories, and to be there for someone knowing if it's a smile a day or week it's well worth it. To see them enjoy life. The way they should . I like being outside, shopping, cooking, learning the old ways and other peoples ways, gardening, baking, and also doing crafts.

I grew up in a family of 10 and, being the 3rd to oldest, it came with a lot of responsibility. By 7 years old I could change, feed and put a baby to sleep. With this experience, came a sense of empathy for those in need. Caring for others has always been a morally rewarding task and I plan on assisting others for as long as possible. Hello! I started out as a certified nurse aide in the year 1999. I decided to help care for people when helping care for my great grandmother. It felt great to be able to be there for someone in their time of need. I have since cared for so many different types of ailments, diseases and people who need general household help. I've ran errands, did light cleaning, fed, bathed, assisted with walking. Cooked meals, taken them to appointments, also sat as a companion. I've helped others go through hospice care, cancer care, Parkinsons, dementia, alzheimers, sundowners, after surgery care, wound care, broken body parts, stiff body parts...lots of different things. I've been helping the elderly population for 24 years now. I enjoy being there, listening/talking with them, going out to lunch or shopping. Staying in doing puzzles or watching old westerns or just simply being there for them in any way I can. I've spent time with others on holidays as well. It's interesting to spend time with people and hear their life stories of "how it used to be" or to see how town was in the 40's or 50's or back when there was horse & buggy rides to school...enjoy it all. I like to spend my time with my grandbabies also doing crafts or watching my favorite series. Family is everything to me, we all try to be there and help each other as much as we can. It is my passion to care for others. When my father was diagnosed with Alzheimers disease I realized I wanted to become a home health aid/ certified nurses assistant. Since his passing I've worked in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, as well as home care. I absolutely love to help and care for others in need.

Over the years, I demonstrated dedication to my work and vision by giving insight for better planning, organization, and being naturally scheduled oriented and rarely missing scheduled work days, as well as completing all documentation required. I've also consistently took on additional responsibilities. For example, I took the initiative to become Medication Certified, not only for my benefit, but also for the care of my individuals. I regularly work extra shifts when required. I work full-time in LTC during the day and have been in medical field since 2007. I started with home health care then continued on to be a CNA from 2009-2014 and I've been an LPN since 2014. Absolutely love what I do and would be more than happy to extend my services to those in their homes. I have a flexible schedule during evening and weekend and some availability during day.
