I am a dedicated State Tested Nurse Aide (STNA/CNA) with over 15 years of experience as a caregiver and have provided care to individuals in different settings. I value integrity and compassion as key in pursuit of my career and strive to achieve this with the principle of treating people how you want to be treated. I started caregiving as part time while in college and it turned out to be a humbling and rewarding career for me. Humbling in way that it has made me to appreciate life, and rewarding for being a part of making someone's life better.

Approximately 15 years ago, I became my mother's Caregiver after she came home from Rehab for a major stroke. After working in a Family Medical office for a couple years, I began my Caregiver career. In the past 10+ years, I have worked as a Home Health Aide and CNA, providing many services to families and their loved ones, including (but not limited to) Alzheimers, Dementia, Quadriplegic, and Hospice Care. Services provided include companionship, transportation, meal prep, feeding, light housekeeping, pericare, input/output, taking and recording vitals, catheter care, colostomy care, medication reminders, assistance with bathing, showers, dressing, transfers, wound care maintenance, and oxygen maintenance. My special focus has been with Alzheimer's and Dementia care. I am a CNA and certified in CPR and First Aid, and continue to work on completing additional medical courses and pursue avenues to help strengthen me as a Professional Caregiver. I also maintain current Individual Professional Liability Insurance. Your loved ones peace of mind, comfort and health is my priority.

Hello everyone. I have been in hone health care for almost 1 year. Previous experience of 5 years in home setting, caring for 8 patients. I left to pursue a career in optics. I was a licensed Ohio optician for 20 years. Having been burnt out by retail, I decided to stay home with my children. When I realized I needed to get back into work, I decided home health was perfect and I've wished I had never left the field. I go home each day knowing the patients I care for are content and safe until the next day scheduled. Flexibility is key and I like to travel.

I began providing elder care when a close friend moved her mother to the area and needed help with her daily care, due to her diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease. Since I was a child, I enjoyed being around the grandmothers. Listening to their stories was a very comforting and enjoyable time for me. I love continued learning and sharing, and helping to make others feel loved and cared about is important to me! I feel so fortunate to have made a positive impact in several elders lives.
