Been a caregiver for over 30years, been taking care of mom.been working with older people sends of the age of 17.here there old story's.make people feel good.

I started giving care at a younger age, taking care of my auntie with a left-sided weakness due to stroke. It was within the family and a non-profit payment job but a rewarding one. I believe giving care is a calling not just a job. I felt a very great joy to be part of her life and assisting her with the rest of my family before her passing. It became part of me and decided to continue to give a helping hands to those who needed it, within my capabilities. You do unto others, as you wish to be done to you.

Something I would say that would make me a great caregiver would be I most definitely love helping people and I'm a very easy person to talk to and I love to listen something that attracts me I'm being a caregiver is I most definitely like to help people and when they're smiling it's making my day something I enjoy about being a caregiver is it's very rewarding and you learn a lot of wisdom and a personal achievement I would be proud of would be succeeding in life and living the best life I can

I love taking care of others. I love ensuring my patients families that they are in the best hands possible. I am passionate about my patients health, and their overall well-being. I am a caring soul, and often times find myself being an over achiever with absolutely no regret when it comes to those in my life. I lost my grandpa years ago and it was one of the hardest things for me. He resided in a nursing home that he wasn't getting the best care from. It broke me in every way possible. When we went to take him out, he was put on hospice the day of. We then lost him the day after. I became adamant and insisted on giving the best care in the healthcare setting. I started working in the nursing field, and refused to give anything less then my best effort. I strive to make families feel different than mine did. I go beyond expectation to make my patients feel loved, and taken care of.

I've been in this field for 24years . I started with taking care of my great-grandparents then my grandmother, through Blackstone. Caregiving is a passion that. I have love taking care of the elderly and being that support that companionship when someone that can't at the time,I just basically want the opportunity to give someone the love and care they need. when it's not convenient for the family. I wake up every day hoping to make someone's family member smile, laugh and enjoy the rest of the time that they have on this Earth. There isn't a better feeling in the world . I got into this field due to seeing my grandfather sick with cancer & my Brian injured uncle. I grew a passion for helping & taking care of others since I was a little girl.

Caregiving has been my lifelong job and passion. I have spent 28 years raising a family of 6 children, 3 of which are still at home. Putting the needs of others first has always been a priority for me. In most recent years I have chosen to add caregiving to my life and continued with my career as a business owner and professor's assistant. I have chosen to do this because I feel I can always give just a bit more. My degrees in Psychology and Human Services have given me a solid understanding of human behavior and just how fragile we can be in times of need. Giving back to my community in the form of caregiving gives me the opportunity to make a difference in a person and family's life. I believe I am patient, caring, compassionate, trustworthy and I aspire to make a difference. I have also used those attributes in the positions I have held. As a professor's assistant I have the opportunity to be a support person for students professionally and emotionally. Cheering them on as they strive to achieve their goals in college. I love this! Each semester I am given the opportunity to make that difference. Providing care for those that need help so they may stay in their homes and make daily life easier is what I can do to give back. Using my skills and understanding to positively impact someone's life is something I am proud of. I was given the opportunity to care for a Dementia/Alzheimer's client for 5 years. I truly embraced each step of her illness journey providing her with understanding, care, and companionship, helping her to maintain her dignity and live her best life during those final years. On fun note, I am also a dog lover! My hobbies are spending time with my family, hiking, gardening and reading.
