I am going on my third year of college, and my third college as well. I am finishing up my surgical nursing degree at Marion Technical College with a Surgical Technician certification and a phlebotomy certification as well. I have spent time in caring for my grandmother while she was in and out of the hospital, and I will provide compassionate care to those who need. My job as a future nurse is to provide comfort and love to patients varying different health conditions. My ideal job profession in the future is to work in hospice as well. When I was younger, I had a heart disease and my life-long goal is to give back to nurses and patients with 110% passionate and sympathetic care.

I have been a caregiver for 3 years now and I can honestly say it is where my heart resides. I also just graduated with my Bachelors degree and plan on furthering my education to become an Occupational Therapist. Therefore, caring for people and improving a person's physical and mental health is what I want to do for the rest of my life. I am compassionate, empathetic, reliable and experienced. I honestly Love this line of work, compassion and dedication is my expertise, I have worked for a couple of company's and also have went independent with clients , This has been my passion for ten plus years and look to further my career and education working to become a CNA .

For me, being a caregiver isn't just a career. It's my calling in life. I feel as though it's what I was put here to do. My very first job at age 18 was as a caregiver for a lady with MS. I cared for her as a live in for nearly three years with one day off weekly. I then moved to direct care for disabled individuals and have accumulated several years experience. I am certified in first aid/ CPR, medication administration, insulin trained, and have a wide path of experience to fall back on. I was also caregiver for my mother for five years until she passed from ALZ. I am currently attending college studying Human and Social Services to better provide for those I work with and for. I believe that being a caregiver requires a special individual, just as special as those I care for. I have always felt that the individuals I have met and worked with have each been a blessing in their own way and I am the lucky one for having them in my heart and life. I view my clients as family, nothing less. I am dedicated, sincere, patient, full of good humor, not easily upset, and my greatest joy is making others happy. That's the biggest benefit of all. I became a caregiver after seeing friends do it. I knew I had what it took to care for patients/residents in any way they needed it. I have all the qualities of a great caregiver. I have experience with different kinds of disabilities and conditions. I love doing these things and insuring all of my patients are cared for to the fullest. I am now certified to give meds after completing classes!
