My name is Kayla Searcy and I have a passion for helping others. My warm personalality sets me apart from other caregivers. I've been wanting to be a caregiver since I was a little girl. My grandmother worked in a nursing home when I was a kid and her compassion inspired me. She was a LVN. The connection with my patients is what I like most about caregiving. It's more than a job to me. I'm most proud of how I stepped out on my own to be a Private Caregiver and not letting anything defeat me.

I have been a CNA for 20 years and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. I'm a mother of two and have one grandbaby. Been married for 16 years and happily.Being a CNA has brought unbelievable joy to my life. I am almost 40 yrs of age. I am also cpr certified. I can't work nights or weekends due to my husband has a traveling job and I have a child at home.

I have been doing Home Health since 2009. I have been doing live in Private Duty Home Care off and on for the same individual for the last 11 years. At one Home Health Company I was promoted from caregiver to The Assistant to the Administrator and I was given the position as Intake Coordinator.

I've wanted to be a caregiver since I helped my mom through her illness and realized I could keep a cool head through tough times and feel rewarded when I know I have really helped someone and made the best out of whatever situation we (the person I am caring for and myself) are faced with. I really enjoy spending time with the elderly because I feel they deserve the most respect and have so much to teach and share. I feel proud that recently my own Dad had a serious illness and I know that through my daily care I and the amazing nurses and doctors were able to pull him through and he's now on the mend.
