Hi , My name is Jasmine Williams I'm 26 years old. Coming back into the field after maternity leave. I have worked as a nursing assistant for 5+ years! I am very dedicated to the medical field and am also hoping it takes me a long way. I really enjoy working as a Nursing Assistant as it gives me a chance to give back to those in need of help as well as allowing me to have the hands on experience I need to become the best nurse possible , as I will be a new nursing student in the fall. I knew I wanted to take care of people when my grandpa was sick when I was in 6th and 7th grade. Visiting him in the nursing home and hospital pushing him around and making him smile was the best feeling ever. I decided to go to Lawrence County Vo-tech for my 11th and 12th grade year to become a CNA and started working my senior year in November 2008. In 2012 I left that job to go to the facility my grandma resided in until she was well enough to go home which was about 2.5 years, and continued to work until I moved in 2016 I currently am working for St. Barnabas now as a hospice aide part time. I recieved an award for employee of the month in August from them. Overall, I enjoy helping care for people, and make them feel good about themselves. A smile of appreciation in return is so rewarding.

I am a mother of four children so I know what it takes for patients and being compassionate, helpful, friendly person. I like being a caregiver because the expressions on the client's face at the end of the day makes me feel good of what I do for them. I enjoy getting to know the client and their family and what they like and what they don't like. I'm proud of the knowledge I have gained working for other job related companies as well as nursing homes and getting the opportunity to further my knowledge.

It was my honor that last 5 years of her life I could take care of her and make her comfortable in my apartment in Poland. I always felt connected to older generation. For more then 20 years I have worked with individuals who suffered from aphasia, memory lost, mental health problems, blindness, vision impairments, , intellectual and physical disabilities. I took care of my grandma many years ago the state didn't give our family enough hours when she was dying of cancer in 2003 . I watched her take her last breath. ..I enjoy helping people I treat people as I want to be treated with love and respect.
