Love to be around seniors, just listening to them. I had the opportunity to care for a 87 year old for 6 years. Saw the need to help and did. Enjoy getting the seniors to and from their doctors appointments. I have been doing this for the last few years.

I feel that I am a great caregiver because I'm a mom for one. I know how to care for a person in need. I have also had to take care of my father who suffered from a stroke 8 years ago.

I've always loved being around people and trying to bring a smile to their face. I have personal knowledge in working with Alzheimer's and dementia patients. I have taken care of cardiac patients ranging from A-fib ,congestive heart failure to quadruple bypass. I I enjoy and keeping their bodies moving with a little bit of exercise fit for their situation. I have a certification in CPR an associate's degree in science and have been certified as a CNA 20 years ago as well as went through a medical assistant program in 2005. I am the mother of two high-spirited an amazing young men ages 23 and 20. My from his son moved out 2 months ago. So I would like to do more to fulfill my life and doing for others and helping others gives me that for filament and joy. I plan to be moving to Mobile the end of March.

I was born to a very large family,15 children to be exact,we were taught to care for one another,and when I was 13 years old,my grandmother came to live with us, because she could no longer safely care for herself and her home,,my mother,my sister and myself,done all the things you would do for an infant and cared for her until her death,I believe in doing so,I learned compassion and the skill of helping people, when the time or circumstance,comes that a person can no longer do life on there own,and I just love people,I wish more people had the heart to serve others.

I am a great caregiver because I first learned how to be one by helping my parents and my brother. They had certain disabilities, both physical and mental/psychological, that touched my heart and helped me realize the importance of quality of life to everyone, not just to those who are healthy. Then, I achieved 89 credits towards my BSN (bachelors degree in nursing) and graduated with honors in Surgical Technolgy from Tennessee Technology Center, First Aid at MTSU, and am a licensed CNA and am CPR/BLS certified, and have a Leadership Award from St. Thomas Hospital. I currently work at a hospital as a CNA/PCA and am looking to work part-time to possibly full-time for someone who has the need for home health and/or caregiver needs. I have excellent references and take my work seriously!
