Hello. I have been a caregiver for a long time. I have always had a compassionate personality and feel the need to help people. I feel like this makes me a great CNA.

My name is Anthony I stepped into the caregiving field about 5 years ago as a HTS working with adults with developmental disabilities since then I've worked in every position in the field including management I love this field because at the end of the day you're truly giving back to people who are struggling to help them have a better life the reason I ended up stepping into the field though was I was in a very bad car accident a few years back and I remembered having some good caregivers and some bad caregivers then I was told that after being in a warehouse for about 4 years I was not able to do it due to the fact that I had to be on lighter duty so I wanted to do something wholesome something that would make an impact having a brother would developmental disabilities it inspired me to move forward as a caregiver no I'm not a CNA but I am a m,a,t medication administrative technician I'm certified in CPR first aid as well as safety care I performed every activity in the caregiving field such as maneuvering clients taking them to the bathroom feeding them through a peg tube cooking cleaning you name it

What makes me a great caregiver is that I am very patient and I love what I do it makes me feel really good to help others . What attracted to me to become a caregiver is the love I have for others I love helping and making others day. The thing I enjoy the most about being a caregiver is putting a smile on my clients face and make sure there comfortable and feel good . The way I care for my clients and how they really love me as well .

Hi! I'm Kia! I'm a very lively, friendly, and funny individual, at least that's what my friends tell me! :) I enjoy animals and I'm current a student in university that's looking to help out wherever I can, which, in this instance, is with the lovely senior citizens and people of the community! I love music and food, enjoy a good nap every now and again, but mostly just making sure those around me are happy and well. As of now, the main things that's attracting me to assist those around me was the fact there's been times where I haven't even been able to rely on others to aid me; knowing that pain all too well, I figured I'd get back to helping those in anyway I can.

I'm a very unique person. I'm very dependable and reliable to get any job done because I'm a fast learner and willing to try anything. What makes the job is my residents being happy In the best of care so my job is to make them smile and laugh. My grandmother passed this summer and she loved my passion for helping others that's why I wanted to do social work. I have a passion for what I do and to help to others in the time of need. I want to make a change.

I am an outgoing individual, so it helps me connect with residents easier, I am not just a caregiver, but a friend as well to my residents. I wanted to become a caregiver because when my grandmother was ill I always wanted to help take care of her and assist her. I enjoy helping people who are unable to assist themselves anymore. It makes me feel good knowing I can make a difference in their lives.

Hi!! My name is Cindy. I am 41 yrs old and have been married to my best friend for 13 years. We have no children. I have been working in geriatrics for 20+ years. It's my passion. I have worked in skilled nursing homes, assisted living homes, hospitals, Alzheimer's units, and my personal favorite in home settings. I have had CNA certification, med tech, first aid and CPR, diabetic care training, wound care, and more. I take great pride in my work. It's more than a paycheck to me. I feel that when u hire a caregiver you are bringing in someone as family to take care of your loved one like family

I became a caregiver after caring for my dad, in his last stage of Cancer. I then realized that this was my calling. I love people.

I first started out through Addus Health Care in Marion, Illinois. At the time I did not know what I was really doing, it was just a starter job until I could find the job that I was truely looking for. Within the first couple of weeks that Addus Health Care, they were sending me to different clients homes, it took a little while for me to start feeling comfortable. The people who I got to come in contact with, and help with their daily living schedules; were so nice and so good to me; they were so loving, and it was the people who showed me so much love who made me want to show all my love back and they made me want to help them; but most of all through all the months and years that I had devoted my life with these people; it became where I just didn't want to share my love with them; I needed to show them because I need them as much as they need me. I love helping other people and getting to become a special part of their lives and families. I continued my education into CNA and CPR classes and have graduated, and am now State Certified through Tennessee.

I graduated high school with my CNA license and shortly after started my first job at Hardinsburg Nursing and rehab center. It was extremely stressful but very rewarding. I learned a lot from not only my co-workers but the residents I looked after. This job gave me the opportunity to further learn about medical issues and how I could help ease the pain or simply take their mind off of it. Shorty after leaving this job I started working as a caregiver at the BeeHive homes of Grayson county which is an assisted living facility in Kentucky. The BeeHive was a much more positive environment and allowed me to grow personal relationships with the people I cared for. The BeeHive is half the size with double the manpower which allows the caregivers to take breaks and actually get to know who we are caring for, their life story, their family and so much more. I love working with my residents because when I have some life problem I'm telling them about they have all kinds of wisdom to share.
