Hello my name is Katlyn. I currently live in Pleasanton TX. I have been a caregiver since my early teens. I have always loved and got along better with my elders then people my own age it seems like. My current job I am a caregiver and I love all the people I help. They are more then just my clients they are like my family and I treat them as such. I love what I do and I love seeing the smile on their faces when they see me. It's not always about the health needs or daily things they need done sometimes it's about them having a social life as well. What attracts me to caregiving is I have excelled and learned so much of the importance of caregivers that truly care by taking care of my Mother-in-Law. I am so specific on how things need done and I also became an expert unfortunately caring for my mom before she passed. I love getting to know my companion, laughing with them, alleviating any stresses they are having, and letting them know they're safe and taken care of as long as I am there. A personal achievement I am proud of is not only caring for my terminally sick mom, but also somehow maintaining running her business while still always being there for whatever she needed. It was the hardest part of my life, but I was forced to grow up quickly to take care of her the way she had me my whole life. I dropped out of college at Texas Tech and put all my time and energy into her.
