I'm a down to earth and very understanding kind of person, and by having members in my own family that have needed help with everyday living situations, helped me gain a lot of knowledge of those who need assistance. I love helping people it's in my nature. It warms my heart, I feel like families truly appreciate someone who will help them take great care of their loved ones.

Throughout my adult life, nurturing and caring for others is something that has been very natural for me. I have had the great privilege of being a mother and raising 5 children and now the grandmother of 5 beautiful little ones. My desire is to improve quality of life and bring a sense of calm assurance and safety to others when their world has been shaken. I am level headed, practical minded and compassionate. In my experience, kind sensitivity can be healing in many ways. I've been afforded life experience in caring for my husband after surviving a plane crash and learning to walk again. A year later, our 8 year old son was diagnosed with a brain tumor. I've learned a great deal through navigating the challenges of these life altering experiences. Both husband and son are healthy and well today. I've also had the opportunity to be a caregiver for local clients as well as my own mother after colon cancer surgery and assisting my brother in difficulties regarding Parkinson's. I will do all I can to assure that your loved one is safe and well cared for.

What I enjoy most about being a caregiver is taking care of elderly people & giving people the help they need

I have my CNA certification. I have experience with home health and actual facilities where I would care for residents/clients with dementia, Alzheimer's, copd, any health disability basically. I also have experience with meal prep, and cleaning for them. I love the bond I build with the residents/clients and always work to the best of my abilities for them.

I'd say what makes me a great Caregiver is the amount of time/energy I put in. I love to put a smile on someone's face, I love hearing "Ms.Alecia is that you ", and "I love Ms.Alecia". I love getting compliments from the families. What attracts me to be caregiver is the excitement and love I get from the new PT. What I enjoy most is a good story from the residents I love when they tell me about there younger days, and I just enjoy the smiles I bring . I personally am proud of myself for working on my Patients. Caregivers are tested a lot an I admire how strong minded we all are.
