What makes me a great caregiver is that I am able to relate to the needs of my clients base on individuality. I am very compassionate towards my clients. I try my very best to understand their needs and find a solution to it. I became a caregiver not only to help people who are at a disadvantage but rather because I care about people and enjoy being a part of their lives. For many years I've lived away from my father, but the moment I received a phone call that he had a stroke I dropped everything and went to care for him until he recovered. That alone shows how caring and concern I am about people who are unable to care for themselves. What I like about being a caregiver is the fact that I am able to bring a smile on the faces of my clients no matter what moods they are in for that particular day. I go to an extended mile to make sure that their needs are met and that they are taken good care of and happy. One personal achievement I am proud of is being able to graduate college. Both my parents are illiterate and for me to be the first out of four siblings to go to college and graduate was a very good accomplishment for me. And with what I have learned and experience I will continue to strive in what I love the most; that is helping people.

My name is Katy! A little about me I took care of my father when he was alive he was bed ridden due to amputation, diabetes and kidney disease. I have experience in Alzheimer's and Dementia care,Home health care as well as Assisted living care . Experience in transferring and Diabetic care. I was also a housekeeper for many years and a personal assistant. I am able to multitask very well. I really love giving time to talk with my patients/clients to make them feel great! They just need someone to talk to. Great companion ship is key! I love working with the elderly and listening to the stories they have from back in the day. I always try to do my best and give great care to all my patients. I am COVID and Flu vaccinated.

I, Shonita Badillo became a caregiver because I love working with the elderly and, sick. Caregiving has always been my passion because, when I was a teenager I cared for my grandmother. I enjoy being a caregiver because, it gives me joy to see a smile on my clients face, and, also I feel I can bring a lot to their life such as understanding patience and, compassion. I feel I have achieved experience over the last 15 years. As I continue to work as a caregiver I feel more confident that I know my job and, that I can relate to my clients better. I have 15 years of experience as a certified nursing assistant. I have worked in a hospitals nursing homes and, private homes. My future plans is to futher my nursing experience. I have always enjoyed taking care of people, it is a passion. I grew up taking care of my grand mother for like 10years before she passed away. she has always been an inspiration to me. she even told me I will make a great nurse the way I was taking care of her. so I did my CNA and I am working at a nursing home, and I am enjoying it. I know that is my call. I have been working as a Certified Nurse aide/ Certified medication aide for about 7years. I am in a nursing school right now. I will be graduating in December 2018 with my Bachelor in Nursing
