I am a retired school teacher. I taught special education students in Texas approximately forty years. I have taken care of my 96 year old mother for the last eight years of my life. I have a great deal of experience with people who face physical, emotional or mental problems.

I am an excellent cook, housekeeper, I have a compassionate heart for people, I am dependable, and value and take pride in the job I commit myself to. In addition to my extensive work experience with at risk children and teens, when I was 17 years old, I had the opportunity to gain the experience to care for my grandfather after he had a stroke and again as an adult; I had to care for my mother after she had a stroke until her untimely passing. I have volunteered as a coach in the Jefferson Parish Parks and Recreation Department, was a Sunday school Teacher, volunteered with Habitat for Humanities, and with St. Jude Homeless shelter feeding the homeless. I am American Red Cross trained and certified in infant/child and adult CPR first aide and AED. I am knowledgeable of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Publisher.

People person friendly and loving

Since I was a child, I've loved helping other people. I enjoy working with people of all ages and circumstances. What excites me most about this position is the opportunity to help those with disabilities live happier, healthier lives. I think helping other people affects the local community positively, so I'd feel honored to accept such a vital role. Also caring for my grandma inspired me to become a caregiver. I cared for her for years, and through that experience, I learned that I'm passionate about helping people and improving the daily lives of those in need of care. Supporting my grandma taught me skills like patience, compassion and problem-solving. I learned how to address issues quickly and effectively to ensure my grandma was healthy and safe. While the work was challenging, improving my grandma's quality of life made it worthwhile. I'd love to apply my skills to help make the same impact at your organization. I'm interested in being a caregiver because I'd like to increase the amount of care the elderly and adults with disabilities population receives. As I learned through my previous health care experience, this population often benefits from caregivers who provide companionship and who pay attention to detail. This can help improve the daily lives of this population. I'd love to be a part of that effort through this position and help improve the kind of care this group receives. I have been doing this type of work for 25 years this is my earthly calling this is what God calls me to do.

What attracted me to start as a caregiver is being abale to help others with whatever need they may need, I enjoy every bit of it because I know one day I'll be needing the same help and would like to have someone as good and supportive as me. I am proud to say I am willing to go above and beyond for any of my patients as well as to meet there expectations.

I was a CNA that worked in Hospitals, Nursing Homes and did Hospice Care and after care My licenses have expired but I'm still up on my skills

I enjoy meeting new people, creating a bond with them and helping bring a sense of joy and security to their lives. It helps bring joy to myself as well. I'm proud of having graduated college with two degrees and continuing to obtain knowledge.

I am a very experienced and well manages care provider. I have a book of knowledge that would allow me to care greatly and fully for your loved ones. I enjoy making bonds with my patients as well as their families and assisting them with thriving and enjoying life. I have compassion and empathy for others . I tend to put others first before myself . I enjoy helping and caring for others who need it ! To be able to help someone is what my calling is and I am so blessed to do it .
