I have compassion and empathy for my clientele. I became a caregiver after I came to this country a while ago and I immediately loved it. I like caregiving, because I get to make a difference in someone's life by the end of the day. Personal achievement is the friendship that I have with the clients and their families.

I first realized my calling was to be in healthcare after my daughter was born and diagnosed w a rare genetic disorder. Going through many healthcare providers and tests was a nightmare- then we stumbled across 1 who changed everything and was an emence blessing. That's when I decided I wanted to be that ray of light for someone. So I went to school to become a medical assistant but the long hours required werent allowing me to be a mom to my young "special needs" child. I have been my daughters caregiver and she is now 12 and in middle school with a "one on one" aide w her at school. The last 3 years I have helped my grandpa cook, clean, bath, transportation and kept a calendar for him w reminders of what he needs to do. Since my grandma passed he has needed more help. He now has a live in aide and I still visit but he doesn't need me as he did before.

Before I thought that I was a really patient person because I use to love to take care of my love ones, friends, neighbors, etc even when they're show bad actitudes or behaviors or situations that you really need to understand them and love them like that and offer them your help. But in the middle of my life I realized that is not just patient is also compassion, that's all we need to take care with love and I think this is the most important thing for being a great caregiver . When I discovered that ,I deside to become a caregiver ,and I love to be part of all of wonderful ladies, and gentlemen life's that I have been working with. I feel so blessed to help and love to get all the knowledge, wise, kindness, etc from them. I just move in from California and I still feel heartbreaking from my clients that I left back there but I have been in touch with all of them and that make me feel better,so I have a lot references from all my clients and the agencies that I've been working with

Thank you for taking the time to look at my profile. I have 6 years experience doing In Home Health Care through Catholic Community Services / Independent Living Program. After taking time off from this career path I have returned to this field and have graduated from the Nursing Assistant Training Institute to receive my CNA and am currently employed with Maxim Health Services. I'm very patient and caring by nature and that translates to my care for others. I always remind myself to be aware of what it would be like to the person in need and how I would like to be treated and respected. One of my personal joys and satisfaction is having the human connection with the work I do.

I like working with the elderly just the way I would like to be cared for when my time comes I have great communication skills and I take my time to listen to what the client is saying without interruption. Moving to the USA from a different continent, the concept of caring for the elderly was totally different from my culture. I used to care for my grand parents when I was you g and before I came to the USA, i was caring for my dad who had dementia and when I am a caregiver, I still have great memories about my dad hence, I fell like I am taking care of a family member I enjoy knowing that I make my client happy by giving them the best quality service I can Am proud that I have been praised for the work I do by my employer
