I started being a caregiver when a good friend of my had spinal surgery and no one was there to help him. After that my father became ill with cancer, when he transitioned on, I decided to make the service of others my career. I find it to be very satisfying, to help people who need some to be there for them when no one else is. When working with patients, I would change diapers, make beds, give baths, and feed them along with some light cleaning, shopping, and accompaniment to doctors appointments. I had one client who was bed bound due to a stroke, she also had bed sores, and many rashes. She needed to be turned every 2 hours, her bed sores were the size of a half of dollar and as deep as the length of my thumb. After my service with her over a period of two years, the sores had closed completely. I am a very caring, giving, and compassionate person who believes that if I can not do my job to the very best of my ability, I do not need to be in this field. I love what I do, I believe God created me to do this job, that is why I am so committed.
