I became a caregiver by choice. I had been in a profession which I loved for more than 20yrs. and I wanted something where I made a difference in people. Right now I work with mentally challenged people and I always feel good when I teach them something they can use in their daily live. I want to relocate back to Oregon to be near my family. I have been in mental health for the last 5yrs. and it has been a joy. Before that I did caregiving in nursing homes, assisted living facilities and a lot of private care. I moved to Des Moines to do the mental health and now I need to return to Oregon.
