About Stephanie

At first I am quiet, but I open up quickly, and enjoy getting to know new people. I always knew I wanted a career of working with people, but as I quickly learned at my last job, caregjving is truly a rewardimg job. It is so much mkre than a job to me, as you are walking into someones home, and into someones life. I became interested in caregiving, after I cared for my grandmother after she had her leg amputated. I was in high school, but spending that summer helping her impacted me greatly and I knew how I could help people as a future career. I enjoy the bond established between a regular caregiver and a client the most, it is such a warm and loving relationship. It almost feels life family, but still professional as caregiving is a job, and that is why it takes a special kind of love go be a caregiver. Your not caring for your family, but your caring for someomes loved one. And your able to provide peace of mind to your clients family, that their loved one is safe. A little each about me, a personal achievement I am proud of is becoming a first time homeowner in October of 2020, and being able to raise my family in a home that I know I worked so hard for.

My day consisted of coming into a client's home and assisting with the day to day tasks of life. I cooked and served nutritious meals, and I made sure medications were taken appropriately. I assisted bathing, and dressing/undressing. Also transferring to nd from appointments. I would grocery shop for client, sometimes client came along. I offered socialization, which is always important to keep the client in a positjve mindset. Lastly, I assisted with all basic household chores needed done, ensuring a clean and safe living space.

My day consisted of assisting intellectually disabled client's through the daily tasks of life. It was a group home, and had 4 residents residing in our building. I prepared meals, and sometimes I would help to feed client's. I assisted them with bathing and toiletimg, most client's required full assist from a caregiver. I fully assisted them with dressing/undressing. I assisted them with brushing their teeth and hair. And any daily household cleaning that needed done such as, laundry, sweeping, moping, vacuuming, and sanitizing. They had an activity center to go to everyday, where I worked with them in an educational environment.
