For the last 10 years, I have spent much of my time being a steward of care. It began with helping to educate and feed young minds, both physically and mentally, continued with taking care of my elderly grandparents in the last years of the lives, moved on to helping to feed and nourish dementia patients, and still goes on today in being a father, and assisting elderly friends and neighbors. I have worked with dementia patients in their 90s, and children as young as three. I have experience setting up/operating peritoneal dialysis machines, managing medications, managing diabetes, feeding, cooking, transporting, and conversing. Patience is the most basic kindness one person can extend to another, and my ability to show patience and kindness, even in the most trying of situations, makes me proud.
