My responsibilities are to monitor and maintain a safe environment for homeless persons with medical issues. These guests have been chosen to be a part of a temporary housing program. These people have issues ranging from back and knee problems to terminal cancer. I provide positive surroundings to reduce their stress levels and assist them with any issues they need help with. This includes assistance with moving around there belongings to filling out applications for permanent housing. I also play a security roll if there are any issues with trespassers or unwanted visitors. On rare occasions some guests have been asked to leave the program due to rule violations. Overall, my goal is to successfully help each guest make positive progressions while they are in the program.

When I was young , being a help to others wa s very important to me. Witnessing suffering when I could make a difference was the reason for my choice to be a Medical Professional and I went to college to be a Registered Respiratory Therapist. I worked in the Heart Clinic at St Luke's Regional Medical Ctr in Boise Idaho, the Heart Transplant unit in Salt Lake City, Utah; and an LTAC Center in the San Francisco area for individuals who were difficult to wean off the ventilator and move on with their lives. A very rewarding history and it was a joy to see each patient go home with a new lease on life and move forward.
