Im personal assistant / caregiver through the department of rehabilitation services. I visit the client in his home daily. I help assist with everyday activities such as bathing, changing, medication and feeding. about 3 times a month he needs his trach changed. Typical CNA stuff. Depending on the time of day will give you the residents needs. Can have on an assignment anywhere from 9 to 25 residents depending on the shift and time of day. I also go on doctor's appointments from time to time. Aside from the CNA position, I've gotten very familiar with the building and stuff in the 2 short years I've worked there and also took on the role of back up/extra help. 2 times a week I help out in the maintenance department ordering and organizing the weekly supplies for the whole facility which is made up of about 3 buildings not including independent living. I stock anything and everything for the longterm care and rehabilitation floors. I try to go above and beyond for my residents to feel welcomed and comfortable.
