1. I became a caregiver in order to apply the knowledge gained as a counselor in touching lives. Counseling is a helping profession. One of the goals of counseling is to help individuals to discover themselves, maximize opportunities and live a well adjusted lives. Counseling skills will be relevant in a care giving job. 2. Being a Care gives me the opportunity to express the emotional aspect of my personality to individuals. The warm and cheerful relationship with a client goes a long way to encourage the client and make him/her to have a sense of hope and belonging. 3. One of my personal achievements which I am proud of, is being a part of success story of a few individuals, as a result of application of counseling skills. 4. In addition to counseling skills, I also possess care giving qualities, which include, honesty, trustworthiness, responsibility, accountability, compassion, empathy, patience, hard-working, ability to adjust to different situations, cheerfulness and love.
