I have been a caregiver for almost 2 years now. I started off taking care of a few disabled students in my university. Now I work in a nursing home caring for numerous sick or elderly residents. I sought this type of work while I was in school because I needed a job and this was perfect because I have a nature that just wants to nurture and care for people. What I enjoy is the personal gratification I get from making people's lives better and more comfortable. I also enjoy the social connection from getting to know the people I care for--not just about their physical conditions, but also their hobbies, interests, dreams and aspirations, and experiences. All of it is a very humbling experience. Something I am proud of is my baptism into a Christian faith 2 years ago. I am a devout believer and follower. Other hobbies of mine are basketball, baseball, reading romance, adventure, and horror novels, and spending time with friends and family.
