Compassionate and understanding. The way I look at caring for someone is how I would want my own grandma or mom to be treated and I take that with me everyday. I also remember that God is and was loving and compassionate and wants us to be as well. I've worked as a dietary Aide in an assisted living facility and I loved interacting with the elderly, so I applied to be a caregiver and I'm glad I did. What I love most is being a companion. Sometimes all seniors need is someone to talk to and spend time with and I love that I get to learn about their life and family. One personal achievement I'm proud of is the family I've created and the family that God continues to add on to mine while being a caregiver.
